It's all too easy to get caught up in your journey as an athlete. There's so much to get done and seemingly never enough minutes in the day. Managing school, fitness, training, family, friends, sleep (hopefully!) and all the last minute things that always pop up and take up so much time can very very difficult.
You're on a mission to be the best you can be in your sport. And that takes a massive amount of dedication and commitment. You have to make a lot of sacrifices to reach your goals. This discomfort is necessary to become your optimal self.
But the discomfort of time management and too many opportunities is nothing compared to what others experience on a daily basis simply to survive.
That's why, as a team, we work hard to give back to the community and volunteer our time and resources to those in need, or just simply improving our community. From working at the food bank, to cleaning up trash, to building and maintaining trails, we encourage and even require volunteer hours to be on some of our programs.
We also want to make it as easy as possible for our families, and any local family, to be involved in improving our community, or even just one family that might need a little extra help.
This will be a living blog post with regular updates as we find new volunteer opportunities in Utah, Colorado, or anywhere where our athletes are at.
