OUTLAW EAST
The East Coast's World Cup pathway.
Twelve to fifteen riders. One roster. One goal: get you to a World Cup start gate ready to race — not just to be there.

What this is
Outlaw East is an invitation-and-application development program for the best junior downhill racers in the eastern United States. It is run by Outlaw MTB — the Utah program behind Outlaw INTENSE Racing, our World Cup team — and it delivers the same curriculum, the same coaching standard, and the same expectations that have taken Outlaw athletes from regional podiums to the UCI World Cup.

It is not a camp company. It is not a race team you join for the kit. It is a full-season program built for one kind of athlete: the one who intends to race World Cup and is willing to be coached, corrected, and held to a standard to get there.

Who it's for

-
Downhill racers consistently competitive at Pro Downhill Series and Downhill Southeast — or clearly on the way
-
Athletes in or approaching UCI Junior eligibility (exceptional younger riders considered)
-
Riders who can say, in their own words, why they want to race World Cup
-
Families who can commit to the full season: every camp and the majority of supported race weekends
We are selecting for trajectory and character, not just current results. Fast is the entry requirement. Coachable is the selection criterion.

Who's running it
Outlaw East is managed by Jorge Gomes and overseen by Tyson Henrie, Outlaw MTB's founder and head coach, with 17-plus years of coaching at the highest levels of extreme sport. Every camp is coach-led to Outlaw's curriculum. Every race weekend is staffed. You are never on your own in the pits.

You are Outlaw
Outlaw East athletes are not a satellite squad or a junior affiliate. You are a full member of the Outlaw Team — the same team, the same standard, the same identity as every Outlaw athlete from Utah to the World Cup pits. That comes with the Outlaw sponsor network: team sponsor discounts are available to you as needed, from day one. It also comes with an expectation: the Outlaw Team jersey is mandatory on race weekends. You race as Outlaw.
Already have your own sponsors? Bring them. Personal sponsors are welcome and can be represented alongside the team.

How it works
The East is spread across a dozen states with no shared home trail — so we don't pretend otherwise. Outlaw East concentrates coaching into four intensive three-day pre-season camps through the off-season, then turns that preparation into results with full trackside support at every round of two series — and keeps you coached the whole way between.

Pre-season camps. Four camps, three days each — twelve days of curriculum-driven coaching that builds from baseline assessment through technical terrain, race craft, and a full race simulation before the season opens. Each camp ends with an after-action review and an individual plan for the interval before the next one.

Between camps and races. You are on the roster year-round, not just on camp days. Every athlete has full access to Jorge and the Outlaw staff in between — for training plans, video review, setup questions, race prep, and whatever else the work in front of you requires. The development doesn't pause when the camp ends. That is the whole point of a small roster.

Race support. At every supported round of the Pro Downhill Series and Downhill Southeast: team tent and pit space, a dedicated team mechanic, coach-led track walks and sectioning, structured practice sessions, before- and after-action reviews on every run, race-day protocol, and video review. You show up and race. We handle the rest.

Additional training days. As the 2027 series schedules are released and the roster comes together, we expect to add optional training days ahead of Pro Downhill Series and Downhill Southeast rounds — extra time on the track, with the staff, before practice opens. Details and any add-on cost will be shared with enrolled athletes as the calendar is finalized.

Europe. Enrolled athletes have the option to add European training and racing blocks — World Cup terrain, European fields, the real thing. Priced and scheduled separately.

Where and when
Camp venues and race calendar are set once the 2027 Pro Downhill Series and Downhill Southeast schedules are published and the roster is confirmed. Selected athletes receive the full calendar at signing. Expect Camp 1 in late fall, camps through March, and racing through spring. As the series schedules are published we may add optional training days ahead of specific rounds; enrolled athletes hear about those first. The European calendar is built around the enrolled athletes and the actual race schedule.

What you get — $8,950 for the season
One fee. One time. Here is what it buys:

-
Full membership on the Outlaw Team — same team, same standard, same identity as every Outlaw athlete
-
Four three-day pre-season camps — twelve days of elite, curriculum-based coaching with a two-coach staff
-
Full race support at the Pro Downhill Series — every supported round
-
Full race support at Downhill Southeast — every supported round
-
A dedicated team mechanic at every camp and every supported race weekend
-
Team tent and pit — a professional home base at every venue
-
Coach-led track walks, sectioning, and practice structure at every round
-
Before- and after-action reviews on every session and race run — the discipline that turns riding into development
-
Video capture and review where practical
-
Full access to Jorge and the Outlaw staff between camps and races — training plans, video review, setup, race prep. You are coached all season, not twelve days a year.
-
Season-long development plan built at Camp 1 and updated at every camp and race
-
Access to Outlaw team sponsor discounts as needed
-
First access to additional pre-race training days as they are added to the calendar
-
Team kit and Outlaw identity — you race as part of something
-
Access to European training and racing camps as an enrolled athlete
Put that against what it would cost to hire a private coach for twelve days, a race mechanic for ten-plus weekends, and a pit setup you had to haul yourself — and then remember none of that comes with a team, a curriculum, a sponsor network, a coach who knows exactly where you were three months ago, or someone to call on a Tuesday night when the setup isn't working. This is not a discount program. It is the most complete downhill development offering on the East Coast, and it is priced to deliver every piece of it.

What's not included — and what we can help with
Families cover their own lodging, transport, race entries, food, and parts. Airfare is never included.
That said, you won't be figuring out logistics alone. Where available, athletes can add team lodging and team meals for camps and race weekends — booked through us, billed separately, not part of the program fee. We can also assist with ground transportation when needed. Ask, and we'll tell you what's possible for that weekend.
Why one fee, up front
Because this is a full-season commitment — from us and from you.
The camps happen before a single race is run. The mechanic, the tent, the coaching staff, and the travel are committed before the season starts. Paying once, at the start, is what lets us build the program properly instead of piecing it together month by month. It also means no invoices, no balances, and no billing conversations in the pits — ever. Your spot is confirmed, the roster is locked, and everyone on it is all in.
We are asking for real commitment because we are making one.
